Ben Pressburg founded this organization, a Communication Network for Retired Louisiana State Police Officers and their Surviving Spouses, on 26 September 2007, in order to give our Retirees a stronger voice in their own affairs; to provide improved communication among our members; to regain our state and local Louisiana State Troopers' Association (LSTA) voting rights lost due to clerical error in 2007; to develop a legislative agenda specific to LSP Retirees so as to provide an annual pension adjustment for our members to help offset America’s Cost of Living Index; to explore employment opportunities for our Retirees with the intent to generally improve the overall quality of life for them and their families; to encourage fellowship among our members for the purpose of exchanging ideas, information, and good will; and finally, to provide support, through prayer, correspondence & visitation, to the Louisiana State Police Retirees and their families during times of illness & bereavement.

As a Charter Member of the LSTA (1969), a ten consecutive year member of the LSTA Board of Directors, and a 42-year Public Servant in both State and Federal Governments, he evisioned this new organization, the Retired Lousisiana State Police Communication Network (RLSPCN) as an organization that would both benefit and inspire Louisiana State Police Retirees and their Surviving Spouses.  "We cannot fail as long as God continues to Bless our Work".
